Disorders that involve the structures of the female and male reproductive systems. Reproductive system disorders are pathologies of form and function that affect the organs, tissues, and glands concerned with the production of sex cells (gametes) and the perpetuation of a species. Because there are anatomical and hormonal differences between the female (Fig. 1) and male (Fig. 2) members of an animal species, reproductive system disorders are specific to each sex.
